50K RUN FOR ETHAN

20/03/2024

TOTAL AMOUNT RAISED - £1,650

The club are asking for a little help with a hastily organised fundraiser to aid in the rehabilitation of former Jaggies player Ethan Forber.

On Saturday 16th March Ethan sustained a serious knee injury while playing for his current side Coupar Angus against Scone Thistle at Farquharson Park.

Since the game the news hasn’t been great for Ethan as he now faces two lots of surgery to reconstruct his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and Posterolateral Corner (PLC). It is going to be a long road to recovery for Ethan and he will be unable to work for some time.

Scone gaffer Charlie King had previously signed up to take part in the Sri Chinmoy 50k ultra distance road race this weekend. In light of Ethan’s circumstances, and after consultation with Ethan’s family, we are now asking for people to sponsor Charlie on his road to 50k with all the proceeds raised going towards supporting Ethan on his long road to recovery.

Any support for Charlie while he’s taking on the 50k run at the North Inch this coming Sunday would be greatly appreciated. Race start time is 10am.

We appreciate that this fundraising event is only a matter of days away, so the sponsor sheet will be open to accept donations until 11pm on Wednesday 3rd April.
